πŸ‚Enjoying FallπŸ‚

        ~~~~SOME INDOOR & OUTDOOR FAMILY FALL ACTIVITIES~~~
       πŸ‚ Now that the weather has changed for most of us, we tend to want to stay inside more. Staying inside more means possibly less activity and therefor less movement and even more so less oxygen in our bodies making us feel tired, (can also explain the few extra pounds some of us gain during the wetter colder months) and then the ultimate, a cranky family.
       πŸ‚ Creating fun family activities certainly will help change our negative thoughts about being outside. Fun activities indoors for the extra yucky weather is certainly ideal as well.
       πŸ‚ For my family we will be trading in our bikes soon for some hikes. Being that we live in a very hilly area, going down hill any where from 20-30km is just not fun any more in the cold wet weather. So we will take advantage of all the mountain parks around us for some hikes. At least we can get our body temperatures up quicker hiking and stay warmer by bundling up.
   As for making it a bit fun I was thinking of collecting leaves and making a chime like this I found courtesy of Good House Keeping.
Here are some suggestions maybe old or new to you. I know my family will be doing a few of these. :)
         πŸ‚  Turning leaf raking from being a chore into fun, we all know how to do that. Yup make them into piles and piles then jump in them. Not only fun but some great family photo opportunities. A guaranteed good time for everyone. Then for extra added fun bring out the leaf blower ha ha, can't wait. Oh and if that isn't enough leaves for you, try shaking the trees for more leaves. Sure to work up a sweat over that.
       πŸ‚ Hunting for pine cones around the yard, neighbourhood or parks for your holiday decorating.
        πŸ‚ On the windy days take the kite out and have a blast
       πŸ‚ Go apple picking
       πŸ‚ Play ball. Soccer, foot ball or even catch. This will for sure keep you warmed up.
       πŸ‚ Keep the basketball net out. It's not time to put it away yet
       πŸ‚ Take a horse and carriage ride through the city and cuddle up under warm blankets with some hot chocolate
  As for some indoor activities---
        πŸ‚ Pumpkin bowling using toilet paper roll and a small pumpkin ( make 3 finger holes )
        πŸ‚ Sled down the stairs.
        πŸ‚ Try making or baking some old recipes into new healthier ones- you will always need a taster
        πŸ‚ Do some card making after all Christmas is coming
        πŸ‚ Make a bird feeder
        πŸ‚ Buy a cheap ping pong set that clips onto your kitchen table- Doubles anyone?
       πŸ‚ Use masking tape for some games, ex: hop scotch
       πŸ‚ Have a jumping jack or push up competition- anything that will get you moving and is fun
       πŸ‚ Go for a family run
 Just a few suggestions I thought of and of course my ol favourite--- Pinterest and everyone's favorite-- Google.
The activities and ideas are endless as you know.
I always like to encourage happy healthy choices not only with nutrition but also with exercise. After all they do go hand in hand. May you find wonderful and fun ideas to do with your family as I will do with mine and may you also be Nutritionally Well.
